Teleportation: Should humans make it a reality, or is there another way to achieve this dream?

While the dream to teleport humans from one place to the next isn't likely to happen anytime soon, there is another way we can achieve this dream. It's called holoportation. Holoportation is when a hologram of a person or object is transmitted from one location to another. The hologram can move and interact with others in the room. Researchers at a Canadian company called Leap Biosystems are working with Aexa to apply this technology to medical facilities or possibly one day in our homes.

Which is pretty cool when you think about it; we could soon be teleporting via holograms to wherever we want. For example, we could holoport to a meeting or to visit or talk to friends or relatives from any distance.

How could we achieve holoportation? We could either use virtual or artificial reality headsets or have a holographic device. The technology for holoportation is still new, so how we teleport holograms from one place to another is still in development.

While we likely won't develop teleportation for a long time, teleporting our holograms is a good alternative. For example, suppose there is an epidemic, In that case, we could teleport our holograms to visit loved ones in hospitals or their homes. If someone can't afford to travel or climate change makes travel unsustainable, a person could holoport instead.

The technology of holoportation is still in the works, so there's no telling what direction it could go. I hope that when holoportation technology is readily available to the general public, we can go anywhere we want to.
