Human composting, do you want to be Earth's compost or buried in a casket?

Human composting is the process of turning human remains into compost that is returned to Earth. Human composting is an eco-friendly way of burying the dead. The phases of human composting are, laying in, which is when the body is placed in a vessel to begin the process of decomposition of the human body. During this phase, loved ones can place letters or objects with the body.

The second phase Terremation is when oxygen flows through the vessel, activating the microbes in the body, which transform the body into organic matter, the vessel is rotated to distribute moisture. The third phase is curing; after one month, the body has transformed into soil. This is where the soil is screened for any inorganic materials, such as hip replacements or surgical implants. The fourth phase is when then delivered to the family of the deceased family member. The amount of soil depends on the deceased person's weight.

The soil can be used to plant a memorial garden or trees or can be donated. The families can also choose to keep or they can scatter the soil in a safe place to give back to the environment. Personally, I would love this to be implemented more in society. Depending on how much human composting costs, it's better for the planet than being buried in a casket, the chemicals used to preserve the body, or cremation. I view human composting as doing something great for the environment and be remembered.
