Foldimate was created by an Israeli man called Gal Rosov, who is a software engineer. Foldimate's purpose is to fold clothes for you. The foldimate was made because folding clothes can be a tedious chore.
Personally, I don't think folding clothes on your own is tedious, but it can be helpful to people with physical and mental conditions. Foldimate can help many people with a chore they may not be able to do own their own. For someone with arthritis, it could be painful for that person, foldimate can do that chore for them.
For someone with a mental condition, for example, autism, foldimate could help that person live an easier life and become better at keeping to a schedule and focusing on other chores or other things they need to do, while foldimate folds their clothes. If i were to create a robot it would be for those with physical and mental conditions and disorders, not because a chore is tedious to do. I think this robot would greatly help anyone afflicted with physical or mental conditions and disorders who would find it challenging to fold their clothes.
